John W. DeHaan is an experienced federal litigators, having handled hundreds of federal court actions including contract disputes, ERISA actions, Social Security appeals to federal court, and even Qui Tam actions. Earlier in his career, he worked directly for one of the largest Social Security Advocates in the country, and he continues to handle some of that organization’s federal court matters.
For Attorneys: If you have clients who have been denied their Social Security benefits anywhere in New York State, and their cases require federal court work, The DeHaan Law Firm will conduct a free case evaluation to determine if there are viable grounds to appeal to the U.S. District Court. if so, we will handle the entire litigation for the client including:
- *Commencing the action;
- *Handling all Motion Practice, and;
- *Court appearances.
Our only fee will be awarded under the Equal Access To Justice Act (EAJA) – if we win. Your client will only pay court filing fees if we are unsuccessful. In the interim, we will keep you apprised of the status of the claims at every stage. Any remand will go back to you to handle further administrative proceedings. (The DeHaan Law Firm will not handle Remands.) Your firm gets the entire administrative fee.
