    If you have filed a disability claim, chances are the insurance carrier will compel you to submit to their “Independent” Medical Exam (IME).

    Contrary to what the term implies, this exam usually is not “independent.” Rather, the physicians doing the exams typically work for the
    insurance carrier.

    YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS ALONE.  YOU ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE SOMEONE THERE WITH YOU.
